Pumpkin/Squash shall be grown in the State of Maine

All entries must remain on exhibit for the duration of the Fair, until 6PM on Labor Day.

Pumpkins/Squash will be judged together for this contest.

All Giant Pumpkin entries must arrive on a pallet, and be brought to the fair between the Museum and Blacksmith’s Shop the Wednesday prior to the fair between 4:30pm and 8:30pm.

Growers must assist with the unloading and weighing of their giant pumpkin entries and be present at the time of their entries’ weigh-in.

MINIMUM of 50 lb.

All entries will remain on the Fairgrounds through the duration of the fair for display, and be picked up the Sunday between 5pm and 7pm.

Fruit will be weighed beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Giant pumpkin/squash must weigh at least 100 pounds to enter.

All entries must stay on the fairgrounds for the entire duration of the fair.

A $250 bonus, sponsored by the Cumberland Fair, will be awarded for a new fair record in the Giant Pumpkin class over 1677 lbs. The qualifying pumpkin must be grown in the State of Maine. In the event of 2 or more pumpkins weighing more than 1677lbs., the heaviest pumpkin will be awarded the bonus.
